Obliterated
  • On November 30, Netflix will release Obliterated, a new action-comedy series from the makers of Cobra Kai that pays homage to R-rated summer movies.
  • As they battle their inebriation and personal concerns, an elite special forces unit in Obliterated must locate and defuse a genuine bomb after learning that a previous one was a fake.
  • As the squad tries to save everyone in the region, they encounter challenges including dense crowds and congested streets in the first look photographs of Las Vegas.
With their brand-new Obliterated Netflix series, the Cobra Kai producers are making a strong impression. After the series' announcement in May 2022, it will eventually premiere this year. The action-comedy will make its premiere on Thursday, November 30 in a few short months. There are eight one-hour episodes in the first season. The initial round of first look pictures were released by Netflix ahead of the launch of Obliterated.
The story of an elite special forces squad that successfully thwarted a lethal danger to Las Vegas is the focus of Obliterated. So it only seems sense that they host a party to honour their success. They find out the bomb they believed they destroyed was a hoax while they are still celebrating with drugs, drink, and sex. The genuine one is still available. Now, while combating their drunkenness and dealing with personal concerns along the road, the squad must locate and disarm the actual bomb. Easy.

The crew is looking for the bomb, and the fresh pictures only give us a little preview of the Obliterated carnage to follow. Numerous pictures show the gang in action, including lifting one another out of precarious places, sprinting for more, and formulating a plan, or at least trying to. The photographs also provide a glimpse of the Las Vegas location, hinting at some large crowds that may perhaps provide challenges as the team works to protect everyone in the vicinity from the actual threat at hand. What would Vegas be without some bustling streets, too?
Cobra Kai's Josh Heald, Hayden Schlossberg, and Jon Hurwitz developed, wrote, co-showran, and executive produced Obliterated. Along with Josh Heald, Hurwitz and Schlossberg serve as the show's directors, and executive producer Dina Hillier. They collaborate once more on a project with Sony Pictures Television, which also made Cobra Kai and Oblierated. Nick Zano, Shelley Hennig, C. Thomas Howell, Kimi Rutledge, Paola Lázaro, Terrence Terrell, Alyson Gorske, and Eugene Kim are among the regular cast members of the show.

For Its Creators, Obliterated Is a Different Kind of Throwback

Obliterated will be a little bit different this time around, and it’s definitely not one for the kids. Where Heald, Schlossberg, and Hurwitz landed on a more family-friendly nostalgia with Cobra Kai. The group discussed what to anticipate from Obliterated in a prior interview with Collider’s Perri Nemiroff. Hurwitz said, “It’s a throwback to all the kind of work” he, Heald, and Schlossberg undertook at the beginning of their careers. Obliterated, in his opinion, is comparable to “R-rated summer blockbuster comedies that come out in theatres… It’s the throwback to those action films of our youth as well.” He hinted to a colourful and crazy performance that “is going to surprise people.”

Netflix will debut Obliterated on November 30. View the remaining pictures below:
